COLLEGE
There are thousands of colleges which can make it hard to narrow your college choice down. The list below are just some ways to help you learn more about specific colleges to help you determine a college that is a best fit for you.

Ideally, for most colleges, students should apply in September. Colleges have students apply online and links to the college applications can typically be found on each college's website and their admission's homepage.

College Open
                        House
COLLEGE OPEN HOUSE DATES
Most colleges have approximately four dates set aside where they are especially set up for high school students to visit. These open house dates are typically set up for days that high schools have a day off school, but colleges are still in session. This provides high school students are opportunity to see what the college is like when students are in session. It is strongly advised that you call the college you plan to visit in advance to let them know you are coming as they will take better care of you.

                        On-Campus Visit
COLLEGE VISITS
Senior students are allowed to miss two school days to visit a college in person to learn more about that college. It is strongly recommended that you call the college you plan to visit in advance to let them know when you are coming.
Most colleges offer tours of their campus twice a day. On the tours you will get a chance to learn more about their resident hall life and their academics. Students will need to pick up a College Visit Form from the counseling office and the return the completed to Mrs. Fowler in the attendance office at least one day before the college visit. Students can't miss a day of school to take a college visit if they are currently on the D/F list for academic reasons.
