Tuscola High School Counseling

Graduation Requirements:

21 credits are needed for graduation.
19 of these credits must be considered academic credits.

A student must earn 21 overall credits including the course requirements listed:

4 years of English
English I, English II, English III or English III - American Lit, and a 4th year of English
1/2 year of Speech
3 years of Math
2 years of Science, including integrated science
2 years of Social Studies, including U.S. History and American Government
1/2 year Consumer Education (can be met by the Consumer Ed class or the Work Coop Class)
1/2 year Health
1/2 year Computer Concepts
1 year of of credit in foreign language or art or music or a vocational class.
4 years of physical education
- students can waive PE if they are enrolled in both band and chorus

Early Graduation
Students can graduate after 7 semesters as long as all the graduation requirements are met and with parent permission.
