It is important that students who are interested in applying to a military academy should study the many unique application requirements so they don't miss completing them by the application deadline. United States Air Force Academy United States (Army) Military West Point Academy United States Coast Academy United States Naval Academy ROTC Students can apply to be in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). This allows students to get their college paid for by the military and a monthly stipend as they attend college. Upon graduation, students enter the military as an officer to begin their military career in exchange for having their college paid for. Each service branch has its own take on ROTC. ROTC Programs Please note that most ROTC programs need for students to complete their application in the spring of their high school junior year. Not all colleges offer an ROTC program.
