PSAT

WHO:
All 9th grade students
LOCATION: Rooms 1-5 in the junior hallway
DATE: April 17, 2024

WHAT:
The PSAT 8/9 is a practice test for the SAT. The SAT is used for college admission purposes and often for scholarships. The PSAT 8/9 provides students an opportunity to learn the format and subjects on the SAT. Since the PSAT 8/9 is only a practice test there is no need to stress about taking it.

The PSAT 8/9 consists of questions in evidence based reading, writing and math.

The actual test time is 2 hours and 15 minutes. Additional time is needed for the reading of instructions and distributing test materials.

PREPARING FOR THE PSAT 8/9:
The best preparation is to take advantage of learning as much as you can in your English and math classes. The knowledge taught over the years is the best practice you will get for the PSAT 8/9.

WHAT TO BRING TO THE PSAT 8/9:
Students should bring their charged school issued Chrome-book since the PSAT 8/9 is administered on the computer. It needs to be a school issued computer as the College Board has to install a program on our school computers before test day.
